       @anokasion @grooms That's fair. Though at the same time many fangames, especially danmaku ones, do try to have original tracks too though. At least, of the danmaku ones that have original bosses they very often attempt to do so. My favorite example of this is the Marisa Land and New Super Marisa Land OSTs because there is genuinely no reason these games should use almost entirely original compositions. It's just platformer Marisa.        @anokasion @grooms Ignoring the intent also playing a part, the flair from official Touhou titles is actually very fitting since I believe the composer for both was U2 Akiyama, who would also be the primary composer for a lot of the fighting game tracks. Though starting with ULiL returning tracks to be arranged would be collaborative efforts and feature a variety of circles. Interestingly enough Marisa Land would actually be the second Touhou thing Twilight Frontier made, as the first was IaMP which was an official title. Weird circle all around.
