       @Gargron I've read a few articles linked from mastodon this week about this massive amount of funding to a Linux distribution that is described as just some vibe coded setup scripts on top of Arch. Ignoring the politics of the people involved for a minute, what I don't get is why is all this money being put into this? What are these investors looking to get out of it?

       @Gargron A lot of good points here. I support boycotting all these companies / services. And it sure does have the vibe of a tax fraud scheme or something.At the same time I do worry a bit. Some of these guys (all guys, of course 😑)  also have fingers in big open source projects, and, obviously ditching Rails or Neovim is fine, but beware schismogenesis. We shouldn't create the distinction in our minds that those use or contribute to those open source tools or frameworks are guilty too.
