       @kaia @futurebird As a third worlder with no horse on the AI race, to me looks like china is kinda winning. While their AI's aren't as good as Anthropic/OpenAI/Google ones, they're more than good enough and costing way less than the US ones.z.ai also is running all of GLM 5.3 Flash on Chinese hardware. IMO China won't beat(at least not for near future) US on the best of the best models but as cost benefit, they're way more affordable than US ones.Another thing that Chinese models beats US ones are the safeguards, Chinese models have almost no safeguards for pentesting security research

       @kaia @kumicota @futurebird i can. superintellgent AIs could do things like cure cancer and other genetic diseases, discover new math and physics, solve all kinds of other problems we can't currently solve and ultimately make money obsolete (depending where we focus the research and development of it)or it could just go in a worse direction of totalitarian state power and autonomous hunter killer drones and other destructive technologies.  either way it's not hyperbolic to say "winner take all" in this arms race
