       I've hired resume writers three times, and all three times it was pretty awful.  Mostly they want you to bring them all the details and they will reword and format it for you.  That's not the part that baffles me though.  I don't know what the content should be.I've been working with ChatGPT, and it's not quick, but since AI has infinite patience and no ego I'm slowly getting a far less modest and more unique list of accomplishments.

       I should mention it's a conversation.  I say "help me with this" and chatgpt spits out a bunch of stuff.I pick through it and say what we'll keep and what doesn't fit.  Redirect when needed.  Explain that a summary of a two page document should not take up half a page.It hasn't brought me any interviews yet, but it has helped my confidence a little.

       @tj Remember, even playing DnD can be a list of skills for a resume. For example, "Community Event Coordinator. Scheduled, planned, and led team-based events that require immense team communication, creative problem-solving, and strict time management.” Don't use any of the hobby's jargon, like game titles, dice names, story plots, etc.

       @Derp I hired her.  My resume didn't win.  My career is outside her field of expertise and she had the same problem as the others - what to put down for my accomplishments.  Interviewing someone to figure out what to put down takes time, and at $600 for a resume, no one has time for that.  So I'm doing it for free with chatGPT.

       @SirRevCyberTrucker I spent a few years doing crap jobs that I put on my resume as "sabbatical" and listed the more interesting things I learned.Trying it one way and then the other is down as "used A-B testing".  I also included podcast producer, because that's when I became a Christmas Dame.

       @tj I'd just use Chat GPT too. Really AI does things now, it'll do more later.
