       @dickflatteningenthusiast I don't know who this bitch is or how retarded her numbers are but many data centers use open-cycle cooling. This uses the evaporation of water to cool by exploiting a property of water known as the latent heat of evaporation (your body does the same thing when you sweat). Although closed-cycle systems do exist, that's not what they are proposing in many cases. Developers have to estimate water usage in their building proposals, that's how we get actual numbers on data centre water usage. For Sydney, if all ten proposed data centers are built they will consume 9.6 giga litres per year.
