       @lanodan @domi yeah...I think a more plausible reason is latency - if you ask an LLM you get an answer within seconds, and you can proceed with whatever you were doing.But more generally, ask "why would someone google before asking on a forum" and most of the answers to that question will apply to "why would someone ask an LLM" as well

       @domi I support someone on patreon who's making and putting out videos about computer-adjacent old hardware about 5 times a year and he's always asking his patrons about stuff. He's also putting out early versions of the videos on his patreon so people can point out stuff to him. Why couldn't Techmoan do that?
