Prior to asking a question I'll usually include hints like this in the prompt: "do not guess or speculate, cite sources, do a web search if needed"And yes, it seems odd to ask it to do a web search, but Google et. al. have enshittified their search pages to the point that letting AI do the search produces cleaner results.

See the legal texts written by LLMs.But LLMs can be useful. I had a great experience convincing a CEO that a project is much larger(expensive) than he think it is. He didn't believe me, but then I generated an estimate in front of him with ChatGPT. The LLM estimate was even more scary than mine, but he accepted that immediately. Went from a month or two for one dev to 3-4 years for a team. :cat_laugh:

Two things, a buddy of mine works for one of these black folder tech companies that work hand in hand with these AI companies. He told me earlier this year that the shit's not working and they're trying hard to sell it though. He explained that lots of companies have been quietly rehiring and doing away with AI as an employee.That some of these AI firms have lost huge contracts because companies backed out once they saw that the AI had limitations and was not as good as what they were promised or told. The other issue is they have these Grand dreams but no way to power them. The pushback is real and overwhelming.
