       i'm considering to set up something like patreon/kofi etc for myself so i could decouple a bit of my livelihood from the company, do you think that would make sense / which platforms are your favorite for this kind of stuff in case you have experience with that?

       @mntmn As a Ko-fi ambassador, and someone who has used it for a few years, I’m going to suggest Ko-Fi.I have also used Paterson, but only add a consumer.

       @mntmn I've tried both Ko-fi and Buymeacoffee.com and both are good, but I only use it for actual tiny tips, not storefronts or benefits (yet). It depends if you want a cute page with extra features (and can then pay for extras), or a simple sleek page just for tips. I haven't used Patreon as an artist so cannot speak to that, only as a supporter. I'm also based in the US so YMMV.

       @jeeppler while you're right that the shipping times from our own shop are not great (this is mostly an issue of missing capital to be able to have larger inventory), afaik the keyboards (for example) are stocked for immediate delivery at mouser and crowd supply
