Not completely, of course, it works fine to keep sketch.exe from running on Grandma’s desktop, but it does nothing for targeted attacks.

Yeah, I guess having it is better than not having it, but the attacks with the highest impact (the ones you have to worry about) won't be caught by this.If your entity/org/corp doesn't have adequate backups and can't handle a cryptolocker in 2026, that's a business logic problem and not really a technical problem.
