       @NashRicky Foreman is right.  The recipe was full of ingredients most people don't already have.  Things like chicken bullion powder and yeast flakes.I can't buy by the serving - I have to purchase the whole jar.  And what am I going to do with the rest of it?I bought a whole red onion to use 4 Tablespoons.  Red onions are huge - that's less than 20%.And the worst part is, the salmon cakes didn't hold together and tasted bad.The salad was nice though.

       @NashRicky I dispute the CNN pricing a little - I was able to get the salmon at $11.50 for 2 pounds, half what CNN paid.My total out of pocket was $33.  But only because I skipped buying fresh herbs in favor of the dried I already had (and some people would have to buy).  And I already had the eggs and a few other things.
