       I’ve been on this social network since 2017. I would really like for the Mastodon Team to stop changing how the visibility settings are presented every damn release.I know this is all in an attempt to try to find a configuration that will be instantly comprehensible to new users, but I think it’s futile. Sometimes people have to learn new things and it’s OK.#Mastodon

       I swear, the Mastodon Team is systematically deleting all the cool things that were introduced by or on behalf of the community when that software was still community driven. That’s really depressing.“But they have asked for feedback on GitHub!”The only people giving feedback to Mastodon on GitHub nowadays are techbros. It’s not the thriving community it once was.It’s really disheartening to see those people manage to get a say after Gargron pushed away all the people who gave their time, energy and expertise to this project.#Mastodon

They did public/anonymous forms, and they did online sessions where you could literally sign on and talk to them about design and your issues and wishes

       @Sylvhem I disagree. Even I, a user of Mastodon since 2018, couldn't wrap my head around what "Unlisted" was supposed to mean exactly until a couple of years ago.They're going for a very literal label instead now, and I think that's a very good decision for everyone. New users, but also existing users.
