       @ariadne I currently have no opinion on the UX rework, but that's because - months of delay from a depressive episode and recovery notwithstanding - me and all my sockpuppets are soon to leave Mastodon behind forever.all these updates, meanwhile the list of common-sense bugfixes and small improvements users have been begging for for years continues being completely ignored (IYKYK) in favor of UX reworks and features like "newsletter mode."

       @ariadne that's a damn good question, and my answer may vex you terribly.I'm planning to move each sockpuppet to a different self-hosted platform app, whichever seems least-worst for the given use case, and let God sort them out 😹if nothing else, after a year or two of that, I'll have much deeper knowledge of a number of expressions of microblogging on ActivityPub. my current dilemma is figuring out which platform app to use for which account.

       @ariadne In theory you could use a different UI, a desktop client or something. I can't remember the last time I logged into the web interface on my home server.In practice most of the desktop apps are pretty lackluster.
