       Maybe.. maybe donating to politic parties should be illegal 🤷- hard limits on spending for campaigns- fixed salary- no donations- no personal interests (companies, stocks)Remove (corrupt) money from politics and maybe we’ll get a chance

       @stux It should be membership only. Every member pays the same (or on the same scale). Everyone has to explicitly agree to join (no corporate membership).It would make a different. Not least because a party would have to be more popular across the board to raise more money. Not just among rich people.

       @stux that's mostly the case for France :- no donations to party allowed by non French individual - max of ~7000€ per person- no PAC Style shadow finance

       @stux The laws on this don't need to be complicated at all:If you can't vote for a candidate, you can't donate to them."Issues" spending is restricted to the issue in an election cycle, it cannot mention a candidate or representative by name in the 90 days prior to the first day of voting.
