       @ariadne Alpine running on bare metal or cloud VPS is the backbone of my personal IT. 8 instances, two intermittent. They replaced my older SmartOS based setup.

       @ariadne i saw a guy using alpine as a main workstation with niri or something. i also heard alpine is good for embedded things. and if i had a small server, like some kind of relay or something for individual usage, i'd probably consider alpine on bare metal even if i run things in docker

       @ariadne Yes. Xilinx and Intel tried to gaslight me into using this stuff instead of buildroot to prepare boot images, I hate Alpine since then 🙃
