       as a linux integrator and power user, i want full control of display modelines/frequencies and color space selection on mainstream desktops (gnome). right now i have an issue of extreme color banding on qcs8550+an IVO panel on eDP and kms debug says that something selected "YCbCr limited range" and i have no (known to me) way to influence that

       @mntmn no moral successor to xrandr under wayland? 😠  I've steered clear of switching due to many expected problems like this. I can put it on the list.

       @mntmn I had a problem like this exactly once and it turned out the monitor was shipped with broken EDID data and modifying that data was, in my case, the easiest way to fix it.I don't know if that's what's happening here but it sure sounds familiar so I thought I'd throw it out there.        @mntmn sway can run custom mode lines, but it's not really a mainstream desktop, and I'm guessing you already knew it can...
