@PNS I would bet that 90% of shooting deaths are road rage incidents. Nothing brings out the worst in people like being behind the wheel of a car. The stakes are high, it stresses everyone out, and the car makes them feel invincible.

@Invictus Her problem is that it was recorded a dozen times that the dispatcher told her not to follow.Everything that happened after came from that decision.It's just a car accident.

There are a couple ways guns, especially an open-bolt or blowback action, could discharge in such a situation.However, if you are in the wild and your gun discharges when you did not intend it to, that's no longer an accidental discharge. You pulled the weapon out and pointed it at something or in a direction without the intent to neutralize a threat. If it discharges a round without your intent, that is now a NEGLIGENT discharge. You failed to control your weapon.
