       Do Banks really wonder why privacy-aware people don't want their apps? A "visiting device" had a.o. "SecureGo plus" from Atruvia installed. With permission of the owner, I've extracted the APK and ran it through our scanner. Apart from multiple tracking libraries, it also wants to RECORD_AUDIO (access the microphone) and also MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS. What for, I wonder?        🇩🇪 Da wundern sich die Banken, dass Menschis mit Bewusstsein für Privacy ihre Apps nicht mögen? Ein "Gast-Gerät" hatte Atruvia's "SecureGo Plus" an Bord. Mit Erlaubnis der Person, der das Gerät gehört, habe ich die APK extrahiert, und durch unseren Scanner gejagt. Neben diversen Tracking-Bibliotheken, möchte diese auch auf das Mikrofon zugreifen, und auch die Audio-Einstellungen ändern. Wozu? Weder Beschreibung, Screenshots, noch Website geben auch nur Hinweise…

       @skobkin TBH, I suspect something like "VideoIdent" behind it. But if so, why not name it? Must be something with "why make it transparent? Who will look at the permissions anyway?"I don't assume malice here, especially not by the banks. But they don't write the apps themselves – and those who do, "don't know better because they have been taught so", I'm afraid…

       @gralf Dito. Ich nutze hier auch ausschließlich ChipTAN. OK, kostet mich bei der PSD €20 pro Jahr extra. Habe gefragt, ob ich das als meinen Genossenschaftsbeitrag werten darf, dann wär's für mich OK – wir haben zusammen gelacht, und uns MÜNDLICH darauf geeinigt (DAS geht natürlich so nicht schriftlich, da verwackelt dann beim Lachen die Schrift).Bin ein Community-Mensch.
