       @ariadne content creators are demotivated because of the poor discoverability between all of the AI slop.Same goes for advertisers which causes content creators that are "only in it for the money" to also be demotivated.Then there are the "hey I can do anything with AI bros" that are just all talk but no bark and don't actually create anything of value.Same on other platforms.But hey at least Tom Scott is back.

       @bri7 content or creator? I don't really watch content about being queer, but I do subscribe to a number of queer creators that infodump about random shit (technology connections, CRD, etc.)I also watch some current events reporting (for example to monitor the war in Ukraine) and various car/electronic repair videos because those tickle the "I must know how everything works" aspect of my autism

       @bri7 makes sense but it doesn't seem to explain all of it (though encourages me to maybe take another look at nebula, since I bought a lifetime subscription way back when it was like $150 or something?)even the repair channels are slowing down it seems

       @ariadne I noticed this months ago. By around Spring at least. I wanted to compile some stats from my RSS reader (got my YT subs in there) and see if I could find any trends, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
