       Listen, I'm not against AI coding agents. I'm against people using a lightsaber to slice a loaf of bread and then acting surprised when the kitchen table gets cut in half.

       @fribbledom Okay. Not against AI coding agents. Nor against lightsaber. But agains stupid people. Nothing changed. Agree still. Operating incountable lightsaber is still not good for Earth. Because it consumes a lot of electricity. Not every stupid people needs to have operational lightsaber. Uncontrolled.

       @fribbledomI'm actually not super in favour of those things because I'm not convinced  whether they do more harm or good.My favourite metaphor is of someone driving a Lamborghini for the first time and flying off the road but the light saber works just as well. People who never learned to use a bread knife will think that's how it works. Companies stop trying to sell bread knives (or any kind of knife), and people adjust to buying a nuclear reactor to power all the laser-driven appliances (washing dishes? just blast them with a laser!), complete with plus flame-resistant furniture and 5m³ flame retardant tank at home because that's just what you gotta have....yes, the technical principle could be useful, that's just not where this journey seems to be going...
