       @david_chisnall I love the idea of app bundles (like Mac's appdirs or Linux's appimages) in general, to be honest.They feel like you have a singular, isolated tool that can be directly placed anywhere. It's way more organic than using some install wizard.I also love package managers, but who said that they're mutually exclusive.@nikitonsky

       @drq I think there's two kind of apps, or even use-casesType 1 is a tool. You get it to do the task, you do the task, you put tool away so it doesn't bother youType 2 is a module. You get it, put it in your system, do some wiring and pairing, configure it to your needs. Make some choices. In return, a module will empower you in day-to-day activities, for a long timeneither of those types is superior to other, they are just for different users, and solve different needs @david_chisnall @nikitonsky
