       The moment has come - the ilok is broken and a whole lot of software licenses gone with it.I can mail it back to the USA and they might fix it might not who knows - but they will charge me because their product broke. And no I don’t get replacement licenses.I’m not thrilled with this product to be honest. #musicproduction

       @lardmotel If something has an iLok, that’s an immediate “yeah, nah” from me. My brother in Christ, do you really think your saturator/multitap delay/Juno clone is the only game in town?

       @acb Some of my more experimental plugins are iLok-ed. Not sure why but they tend to be unpopular and thus expensive

       @lardmotel The only iLoked plugin I ever bought was 32 Lives, an adapter for running 32-bit macOS plugins on a 64-bit system (which I got because a few companies refused to update their old synths, which I had projects depending on). Impressively done, from a small Israeli firm whose engineers may well be ex-Mossad hacker ninjas. Alas, Apple killed this when they eliminated 32-bit APIs altogether.

       @lardmotel That sucks mightily.I’ve avoided iLok, but also my livelihood doesn’t rely on these tools so I can hardly talk.
