       you have to listen to this sound from the bank of lost sounds: the Eurosignal "In the 1980s, anyone sliding their FM radio dial all the way to the bottom of the band would stumble upon a strange sound: a series of electronic, repetitive beeps, between 87.3 and 87.5 MHz, with no station, no voice, no music. Unsettling or fascinating, depending on the ear, this signal was how the Eurosignal network reached its subscribers: on-call doctors, technicians on standby, mobile executives... Each carried a small device that beeped whenever someone was trying to reach them, without conveying any message. Just an alert — and the obligation to find a landline and call back.
