       @sensei PONG:I would pitch it as a 2001 Space Odyssey canon in-universe prequel.  The paddles are rival alien race machines searching for life across the universe to evolve to eventually send to the end of time for them all to fight in a game of PONG to decide which race gets to re-exist in a new Big Bang to come after the end of the universe.
