@phoneboy @stsmith01 I almost wanted to point that out. I don't think I've ever seen him clean shaven at any point in time when he was thin... and he NEVER wore suits.. didn't have that hair and hairline... so many things wrong. I'm wondering who the heck that's supposed to be.

@Dan_Ramos I tried to create a homage to JCD... and I failed. Honestly, I'm not sure really who I was making it for anyway. I haven't felt the sense of community since the original NAS was retooled into NoAuthority (the reasons for which I don't see the need in debating.) So many of the people I used to interact with have moved on to X or just given up the social media habit altogether. (continued)

@Dan_Ramos I respect the time, effort, and money @eriner has put into this labor of love called NAS, but over the months I have felt my enthusiasm here begin to wane. I'll continue to listen to the show of course, but I have to be honest that I only make 1 post on NAS for every 10 I make on X these days. I do have people on here I like and respect (you included) but I have to admit I wonder more and more what my motivations wrt NAS are these days. (more)

@Dan_Ramos Maybe it's just a product of getting older. Hell, many of my best friends have already passed on and more and more I wonder who the hell is left to share things with since those who knew me best are gone. I know I'm just being a pussy who's feelings got hurt because everyone pointed out (rightfully so) the problemos in my tribute. (AI is a little bitch who didn't follow instructions, btw) I guess JCD's passing has really, really hit me harder than I realized.

@stsmith01 Meh.. going through the same things as I get older and people I grew up with aredying around me too... but I come here to just share the memes and hope it gets reactions or at least a few groans. @Dan_Ramos I also got really sad when Todd Cochrane (sp?) died a while back. I listened to his podcast from the start and felt like I had lost a good friend after he was gone. I messaged back in forth with him a few times. He was a good dude.

@Meachamus_Prime @stsmith01 For me it was Grumpy Geeks on ZDTV, although I'm pretty sure I'd sometimes see an article once in a while in a computer magazine back in the late 80s/early 90s even before the TV shows. I was a teen in the 80s when I'd first heard his name but really didn't follow him too closely until the ZDTV days.
