       Does anyone know of an IMAP client that can delete 1000 messages without its UI hanging for the entire time of the deletion process?

       @wolf480pl Trojita might? I never got around to try it, but proper use of IMAP is kinda its point; author did bachelor's and master's on it (the former was hosted along the client, can be grabbed from archive.org now: https://web.archive.org/web/20240510180453/http://trojita.flaska.net/thesis.pdf )

       @amonakovhaven't yet read the whole thing, nor tried out the clientthing is, I asked about deleting lots of emails over IMAP not because I want to clean up my inbox now, but because  people in my timeline were talking about email clients, so I thought I'd ask and take notes in case I need it later
