       @meowski I used to work in an aluminum extrusion plant and we'd sell it for under a dollar a foot and still lose customers to China for pennies. Those were complicated extrusions too - nothing easy like angle. Aluminum extrusion is very energy intensive but I still can't imagine that's anywhere close reasonable even with the spike in pricing.

       @alcade that's my good supplier. first i went to alro, and they wanted $230 for the same piece so i declined.  i think most of this stuff is made overseas now.  imagine paying $1/foot now lol.
