       Currently in India(Delhi) students are facing police brutality in a protest asking for accountability. National Medical Entrance exam paper was leaked, news came after students had already given the exam. It's one of the most competitive exams in India, students work very hard to get a rank, many commit suicide every year due to the pressure of this exam. Education Minister took ZERO accountability, Chief Justice of India called the Youth cockroaches. This is the origin of current protests.

       Instead of addressing the issues, when the Parliament session began yesterday, government ensured the Police would physically assault those protesting kids who dared to come on streets to ask these so-called democratically elected leaders to do their job. At the bare minimum, one should have decency to have a dialogue with the youth who are suffering at the gross negligence of their governance. It's well known our PM doesn't believe in discourse. He would be lost without his teleprompter.

       I am a Delhite, since past few years I've been living in a small town 1000 miles away, to the other side of this country. My community here are people who are educators themselves & they tell me instead of doing anything productive this Gen Alpha xyz are bent on toppling govt. Over past decade, I've seen how polarised this country has become. Be it gender, religion, orientation. But the fact that educators can't see the pain of these kids who are simply protesting for accountability is shocking.

       They call them cockroaches as an insult without realising the Youth intentionally appropriated that term. They're here to stay, They're here to fight, despite all the odds against them. In a population like India, it's not easy for most students without privilege to make it in life. Opportunities that the income-rich countries take for granted, aren't given to all. What lesson are these ideology driven adults sending to youth? If your govt can be toppled because of accountability, it should be.

       If I was writing this on Twitter/X by now BJP(India's ruling party) IT cell would have bombarded this thread with death/rape threats labeling me anti-national. If my name wasn't Hindu, I would have been told to go to Pakistan. They would find my socials online and spam vulgarity. This has been BJPs biggest tool to silence every dissenter since 2016. The reason why I left most social media because there's only so many death/rape threats one can take for speaking out things that are common sense.
