@fdroidorg I tried Scrib and it crashed OoM. This may be caused by the size of my audio file. Stil it should do so more gracefully and tell, if input is to large. In the app i found no way to report errors to.

@fdroidorgI should have tried the alpha version earlier.Important: I later noticed auto-update was enabled. Apps I had explicitly set to ignore updates had lost that setting. Things might have auto-updated to bad versions if I hadn't explored settings early.I currently use -basic to get the linear list of "latest" apps.-basic alpha seemed to hang or take a long time to start after updating from current -basic. Just a white page with the logo. Might have fixed it by installing full f-droid (non 2.0) and reinstalling alpha -basic.Initial impression: I don't like the default "discover" main screen (-basic). I just want the list of apps like the old "latest" screen which seems to be gone. Instead I get a list of categories and then slowly (5 seconds) 3 more sections get added to the top of the list one at a time.I can get to the "recently updated" list after the screen quits adding things. It just takes one extra selection. Finding this helps me accept 2.0 better.Doing search for "f-droid" or "fdroid" did not find the f-droid apps. Even "f-" or "fd" just showed 3 apps (slightly different lists). Some other basic searches for other apps by partial name or an expected word gave limited results not including the desired app. "vlc" showed an empty list despite being the actual name of the app.Searches for an author doesn't work, but I think it never has. I would like "dozing" to show everything by "dozing cat software". I like one app and would like to see other apps by the same developer.Settings has lost a lot of options. Maybe some are not needed anymore, but auto-updates got enabled. I don't see how to adjust update frequency. Perhaps incompatible versions, anti-features, expert mode are somewhere else.A quick review of the full version shows all of the above issues.After a little more review, the initial startup time and turning on auto updates are my main issues. These may just be problems for old users updating and not new users.

@sab38 Autoupdates are done when the device is idle, none was updated now. 'Ignored' setting kept on update? Will retest. Do mention Device name and Android version. Search works fine, "dozing" finds 6 apps here, from the author. Update frequency is not configurable. Incompatible and AntiFeatures are list filter options (see onboarding guide). No expert settings. @fdroidorg Scrib now transcribed my audio. It took hours. When i checked the phone, the app had exited, and there seems to be no text file with the trabscribed result. I can of course restart, but likely i will not be able to save the result again.No stacktrace, it exited silently.
