       best way to radicalise someone against rust is to give them a computer with a dual core 2.5 GHz cpu and 8GB of RAM(actually a pentium m and 2gb of ram, but let's be generous here because this will still work)

       @corpsedoll i still use 8gb ram dual core on most of my machines (my desktop is 3.6 GHz, quad core, and 32GB RAM though, that's the machine with nearly 3 hour firefox compile times)

       @kirby @corpsedoll @azureazure good luck cross compiling firefox for powerpc when the build system depends on the v8 javascript engine (from chrome, yes - in the form of nodeJS) and V8 has no codegen for powerpc and the x86 version conflicts with libraries in the root you're building in

       @kirby @corpsedoll @azureazure firefox also will not link in a 32 bit system because of the same reasonsand guess what else, firefox depends on rust now which is why it won't link on 32 bit systems
