For context. This is my Issue:Had a Working original DS. Some dead pixels inn the screens. I decided to mod it with a capture car dmod and a Inside gadgets wireless controller mod. I then replaced the screens and the touch layer.Now i have an issue where the touch screen dosn't work. I tried two replacment once. And one original. I tried to calibrsit it, but no luck. Guessing by the behavour of the DS when bootin git seems to recive aconstent touch input in one of the corners. I can verify that it does not recive this touch input while having the touch layer disconected.Id apricat any help as id really like to finish this project.

@Loyal It's often a problem with the ribbon cable, or the ribbon cable's contact. Having tinkered with a few Nintendo DS models, I know it's always a delicate operation.

@woodooprod do you have any tips on it? Ether on checking if they are ok. Or on insertin git to make sure it ha sproper contact. I did concider it, but not any luck. Unfortunetly I don't have a spare system to test the touch layer on, but I am comcidering it.

@Loyal Unfortunately, I don't have any specific tips. :0)I would suggest trying a step by step approach. Did your mod include the ribbon cables, yes/no? Are they functional? Have you tried other ribbon cables? Have you reinstalled all the original parts to see if that works?I think you can find specialized websites on the subject, with forums, etc..

@woodooprod possibly, so far i not found anything. I did ask om Reddit too a while back, but even less help there.In forms of what I have tried. Since its just the touch layer not working and the DS is fine without id like to asume my other mods didn't affect it as I would like to avoid removing them, but agree going back to stock is a good idea. Another hypofosus is while modding it with extra ribbons and mabye the foam on the back of the screen has made it alittle thicker casuing the motherboard to bend abit and casing damage.I also now remember. Half of the face buttons also started to not work. I have picke dup replacment as when I tested them with a Multimeter they seeme dto be broken, but it is intresting that broke while working on it. All buttons did work with a wireless controller tho. Sometimes im worried mabye it is abit far gone with everything i done with it.If i can't figure this out I will ether get another NDS and try to mod it again. Or i will just get a DS light. I would like the capture card tho. That was why I starte dthis as I have DSi XL allready 🥴

@Loyal Regarding the ribbon cables, yes, the fact that they may have been subjected to pressure during reassembly could have damaged them. The fact that your buttons stopped working.. when they worked perfectly before the mod, is significant. The mod could have been flawed from the start.You can find batches of DS units for parts at affordable prices these days. Perhaps that could help.But first, my "suggestion" would be reverting to the original configuration to see if it works.

@woodooprod i will try look inn to getting asecond System for parts. I don't really think reverting the mods will help concidering the buttons physically don't work. I also have a really bad battery contact. This seems to be apart you can only get from NDSs or GBS SPs so it may not be abad idea. Worst case I could end up with 2 work systems

@smbflurry @jake4480 concidering I tried 3 diffrent digitizers, one which did least corimed to be working before I hav emy doughts. Tho. I know im very capble of breaking multiple of them. I blew a fuse 9 times inn a row. No ides how i didn't catch on.
