       Videos like these are why I still have a paid @protonprivacy account.        @scrottie @draken @protonprivacy @torproject @signalapp Good point! While we're at it, take note that Proton is Swiss. Switzerland is a rich country, and not from analog watches and pocket knives - they keep secrets but only for a price. Also, they are not a full member of the EU which means abiding any EU policies, such as those concerning privacy, are voluntary. I wouldn't trust them further than I can throw a stick, as my granddaddy used to say.

       @jakefields @scrottie @draken @torproject @signalapp given the proposed and invasive anti-privacy law changes the EU are currently looking into, and comparing this to the way in which law is made in Switzerland (in particular the constitutional enshrinement of the right to privacy) this is an interesting take.
