       I wonder if it's possible to turn a remarkable tablet into a good e-reader. i know it's shit by default because the only thing you can do is clumsily "import" PDF files or epubs to read. but maybe there's some third party software i can put on one.since remarkable is a norwegian brand they're really common here and you can buy them at most electronics stores. but this also means a shitload of people buy them and regret it. being able to get a seemingly brand new remarkable 2 for sub-300€ isn't too difficult, even with a folio case and pen included.remarkable tablets are the one thing the used market is real good at here. it's kinda like treadmills on facebook marketplace. everyone buys one thinking "hell yeah! i'll quit paper" then end up flipping it for half the price after 3 months

       if for anyone else who lives in norway, never buy a remarkable tablet new. they're like 5000-6000kr. you can usually always find them barely used for half the price, and the deals aren't even rare.

       @quad you can just ssh into it and do whatever you'd like.I used to manage my book collection with calibre using an extension, it just ssh'd in and let me manage it like any other dumb ereader
