       I feel sorry for the people who is still stuck on Winblows. Not just the operating system itself, but the whole ecosystem. I made a Tiny10 vm in qemu (which by the way, with the VirtIO drivers and 3D acceleration enabled its actually usable) because I wanted to try a digital signature application made by the gobernment. So I installed that, and also installed Acrobat Reader. Not because there aren't better alternatives but because I wanted to use the most standard environment to see if everything worked.Acrobat Reader is DISGUSTING right now. Bloated, has AI integrations, and on top of that it also installed some photoshop cloud image editor or something I didn't even ask for. Of course, more AI crap. They don't know what to do to force people to use AI to boost their AI usage metrics and show their investors pretty graphs.Had I installed Windows 11 it would have been insufferable. Probably unusable too.I'm so disgusted that, in fact, I'm considering just removing the virtual machine, because turns out I don't really need it anymore. I wanted to use the digital signature application but it turns out gnome's default document viewer can properly sign the documents, but not verify the signature for some reason (although I checked with acrobat reader and it says it is valid and verified). I guess I have to add the CA somewhere but I don't know where.As for photoshop, I mean... It might come in handy but I also don't really need it "per se". The thing is that there are certain tools and things that work better in Photoshop than in other alternatives but that's about it. For instance I can use Pinta for most of the stuff, but things like selections are more tedious and imprecise, Photoshop algorithms for selections are better.
