       I was not prepared for the sheer amount of mess that was contained in this unit, but okay then. Changed the drive belt and the flat spotted rollers (knew there wasn't supposed to be a weird hang on revving up to accelerate!), cleaned everything, removed glazed gunk from the clutch, and changed the oil.

       The substance in question was undoubtedly material from the drive belt - the original one was noticeably thinner from shoulder to shoulder than the new one. It resembled spilt laser printer toner and formed this crumbly sticky residue. I almost thought if you mixed in a little water and vegetable gum it'd make a reasonable ink
