       I like fresh pineapple but peaches are only good when they're hard and crunchy. As soon as they get the slightest bit ripe I can't stand em.

       And the texture is only part of it. When peaches ripen, they smell different. They have a weird almost-rotten kind of stinkage. Very off-putting :pepe_cringe:

       I'm not a big fan of peaches because they're just too sweet for me, but I've never had them start smelling like garbage unless they were actually rotten.Sometimes I go to Clanton and get fresh peaches from the roadside peach stand people, and I cut them in half, grill them, and serve them with a good strong blue cheese and a drizzle of honey as a desert.  The funky cheese fixes the overly-sweet problem.

       I grew up in the heart of the biggest peach growing area in the country. I learned from an early age that peaches were our lifeblood so I never had the chance not to like them. We made everything from peaches. Peach relish, peach jam, peach jelly, peach pies, peach seasoned meats, peach custard. Its still my favorite fruit.
