       @canleaf Yes, for apps that have access to networks, you can specify in the settings whether they're allowed to do so or not (see screenshot). On /e/OS, Play Services are replaced by microG, which allows you to download Android apps anonymously.

       @kardonx /e/OS still works as usual, even with Google's restrictions. Unlike smartphones running Google Android, you can still install apps from the Internet on our devices. And for the future: The code that makes up /e/OS is fully open-source, so we can do a ‘hard fork’, which would mean that we decouple ourselves from the Android versioning system. Nevertheless, we very much hope that the diversity of AOSP will continue in the future.
