       @wolf480pl Like imagine if we'd use apple, orange, cherry, … when programming instead of you know, names based on wtf you're doing.And of course doing something practical, while math exercises very quickly end up entirely alien to kids.

       @nytpuhmm ok, thinking about it again, I do remember "input boxes" with various shapes so that if you put 6 in a square box, you know 6 goes into all square boxes, and there were also round and triangular boxes...no fruits tho

       @wolf480pl In the earliest stages it might be good to pick variable symbols that don't conflict with literal numbers or letters, which kids are also learning at the same time.I've seen shapes (square, triangle, circle) used like this in puzzles.
