       @icedquinn laid off most of/the entire engineering team.I don't think Bandcamp will go away soon just because of this, I'm just doing my backups before it's too late.

       @Natanox @pixel probably because its mostly all built out already and the owner is a licensing firm that just wants to pivot to extractiongumroad had the same (although that was the founder realizing he had to fire everyone to be solvent, not a buyout)

       @Natanox @pixel people with capital tend to want the standard extraction playbooks enforced. people particularly absurd enough to run directly against the grain don't hold up well to purity spiraling.truly a difficult planet we find ourselves on.

       @pixel ohh i have 128 Bandcamp releases, and 60gb on disk, but i also have quite a lot of CDs in that dir, so i set it assumed its less that 10 times xDD
