. had a pretty good night last night. Serra woofed in her crate a few times at bedtime, but quickly settled down. She's still slightly suspicious of my husband when he walks in unexpectedly (or in different clothes), but we're working on it.She's show interest in playing w/a tennis ball, or in light roughhousing with me.Still startled by the rocking recliner though. We've had high prey drive dogs for so long, I'd forgotten what a NON high prey drive dog was like.Example: walking in the park. A cyclist goes by us. Serra didn't even blink.Wow.#GoodDogSerra#DogsOfMastodon

Serra had a good night last night. Still barked at husband when he came home from work, but not in a BAD way.Just like a "who are you REALLY"way. She'll get over that. It's hilarious that she thinks that someone rocking in a recliner is slightly alarming. It's funny what sets some dogs off.#GoodDogSerra #DogsOfMastodon

Today is “Reassure Serra that the noises the washer&dryer make are normal and expected and do not need to be barked at” day. It's taking a while to convince her.

She picks up lots of things very quickly. You can tell she's smart. She's not the same kind of smart as herding dogs have, but it's still smart.
