       @gamingonlinux I'm a way out of the loop on buying physical media (thank you steam and not being able to afford consoles) but aren't a lot of physical media already a box with reg code on a piece of paper?

       @gamingonlinux Xbox was already pushing in that direction with the Series S. I'm surprised Sony pulled the plug first, and I will be even more surprised if Microsoft doesn't follow suit.

       @gamingonlinux Xbox was probably the first one to start going digital since like 2007. They sacrificed HD DVDs so that they could focus on and push Xbox Live more because they foresaw that discs would become obsolete and more people would have broadband connections, and cloud storage would be more widespread. Makes a lot of sense for a computer and SaaS company to do so.
