       @wan @gabriel @SuperSnekFriend @max i've watched it grow from a novelty to goof around with to a set of tools that actually prove useful for certain applications where it doesn't matter there's no "intelligence" going on and it's just chucking pattern recognition spaghetti at the wall at speeds never before seen due to the massively multithreaded capability of GPU cores.but it's still overhyped, massively overvalued on an unprecedented scale that will have serious consequences for the entire economy when the bubble pops, will just as easily hallucinate as return real information, and every conversation about it is plagued with dipshits who've consumed marketing materials until their brains turned to mush and either think it's the greatest thing ever and will automate all labor by next tuesday or will end all life on earth by magically disappearing all water.
