       Thoughts that couldn't fit in the (pretty solid) @404mediaco summary: Larry brought some genuinely interesting ideas, e.g. ending indefinite blocks or reforming ANI.        @404mediaco Now, let me be clear. I do still disagree with most of his ideas, and am under the impression that they come from either misunderstanding how Wikipedia works (e.g. the belief in a self-perpetuating administrative elite pushing a POV), or a complete misalignment in priorities (e.g. competing articles).But healthy debate is always welcome, and I've seen myself disagreeing with many editors before (more often than not, with me arguing on the side of reform). This was not the issue.

       @404mediaco In fact, reading some of his material, such as the support for administrator term limits, leaves me thinking that healthy discussion would've helped a lot with progressing the idea.We both support making administrator status easier to obtain, but Larry seems to believe that it is due to admins concentrating power, despite us being the first to call for more editors to become admins!

       @404mediaco After a 20-year hiatus, taking some time to familiarize himself with the modern Wikipedia culture would've helped immensely, and probably led to some of his theses being refined into actionable changes.Instead, his approach gave the impression that he was not here to work with others, but to push forward his ideas or die trying, which allowed for a surface-level victimhood story down the line.
