I’ve been pretty hyped about this one. I know the online reaction to it existing, at least in places like Reddit, has been mostly negative but Star Fox 64 is a really special game to me.

@aetios I've been too exhausted to do much gaming, but I did one full run- starting on the easy path and eventually ending up on the hard path and true end. Controls feel great, absolutely perfect. The gameplay is just as fun as before. Cutscenes are good, you see them become a closer team as it goes on. Changes the pacing, but it's not like you'd watch them every time. I'm fine with the team's voices, some of the boss lines are underwhelming. Graphics are beautiful overall.

@aetios This game makes me feel really good about having bought the Pro Controller. I can see some novel fun from using an N64 controller, which is supported, but the smoothness and comfort of the Pro makes it feel so silky smooth to play.

@aetios This was my main Switch 2 controller before. I still use them for PC but some things annoyed me on Switch. Like the triggers are analogue and a little squishy but the S2 doesn’t support that so clicky triggers work much better for games like No Man’s Sky or Star Fox. I still use them as my main PC controllers though- and they’re better for retro games than the Pro if they’re d-pad heavy.
