       Random shower thought:Does anyone make water heaters that actually measure outlet temperature?It should be easy enough to generate energy from water flow to power a temperature senor and a RF micro to send current and maybe even desired temperature to the water heater and have consistent temperature all the time.

       @kabel42 there’s more than one outlet.And I see this as having extra needless compute around. We should work to have fewer tech in our lives, not more.

       @kabel42 I tried to frame the second half as my personal opinion, not a general negativity setting, just… *waves Hands* there’s too much trch, too much energy consumption, and I’d rather what amount of rare minerals we still have go into infra for renewals than tiny end user devices (disposable electric cigarettes are the worst)

       @mirabilos having the water heater produce the correct temperature instead of 60° and then dilute with cold water would save a good bit of energy though

       @kabel42 my cold tap varies with temperature, so… that is system-inherent
