       i've been rotating a well-known, "simple" lemma in my head, trying to see how one goes about proving it. no matter how I approached it however, it was getting messier than I'd expect.finally, I decided to follow the chain of citations and find the proof in the literature.the proof is 6 goddamn pages. :neocat_melt_2:
