       @wlrn of course it is, it's literally just a brick of the same thing they put in deodorant, but it's odorless and doesn't leave behind a thick layer.alum blocks are mainly used to close pores and redness when you shave your face, it definitely makes a difference there too.

       @wlrn If I had to describe the sensation, after it dries it feels like you just covered your face in rubbing alcohol but like for a long time. just have to make sure to lotion your face after, I assume the sweat lingering on the face pads would irritate the skin more than it being dry after a point

       @wlrn deodorant that doesn't have aluminum salts is mostly fraud, you should only use aluminum-free deodorant if you have an adverse reaction specifically to the aluminum salts. I don't doubt that it's possible that the reason why people have adverse reactions is due to the other chemicals in the deodorant. using the brick directly might actually be the way to go in that case, or at least can isolate the issue to the aluminum salts specifically, and since it's a brick of salt its is odorless and not fragranced, obviously.
