       Inspired by LinusTechTip's latest Linux Daily Driver Challenge, I wanted to take a moment and talk about Linux UX because, let's face it... it sucks.Actually, it's worse than that. Much of Linux's UX is technically correct and that makes it objectively wrong.Like it or not, Windows is the dominant operating system. And it's not even close. That means when we're having a conversation about designing a User Experience on Linux-based operating systems, that conversation must be bookended by "how do Windows users expect this to work?"        @gbryant reminds me of my discussion on the kde forums that when clicking an item in the clipboard history window opened with Super+V, it should paste the contents of that item into the already focused text element. Because right now it just closes with no feedback and only copies that content into your clipboard, requiring you to manually paste it. Emoji picker works the sameAnd then there's people actually defending this saying "it's just linux being different". Yeah, it's linux being worse

       @stefanheinz @gbryant Well. I wouldn't like to paste it inmediately.But I agree that the first time I saw it, it was confusing, maybe adding a copied to clipboard notification or "toast", like copy buttons usually do in web pages.

       @Simx72 @gbryant every single windows user expects it to paste. Sorry but not pasting is the unpopular opinion and should not be the default
