       i tried a large evaporation cooler out because my mum got one as a gift and as expected they are definitely every bit as useless in my region as i should already have knowni tried it out because i wanted to see whether the size makes a difference (i had a small one) but in 15 minutes it just raised the humidity from uncomfortable to really uncomfortable levels while barely cooling at all (see pics; ik the first pic is ass i made it so i could compare)i had it running a while longer but when humidity reached 68% i said fuck you machine and unplugged itmaybe it's useful in dryer climates but holy fuck is the humidity increase so much worse than any cooling it provides

       on that note it's slightly funny but mostly sad how my mum tried to convince me that an obvious scam product and an evaporative cooler were effective cooling devicesfor the scam one she said it must be true because it was claimed on the box ​:sob:​ and when i challenged it she tried to explain how it works with no understanding ​:blobfoxAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:​that device had no documentation and i could not find it even under the manufacturers name or serial numberunsurprisingly she is having trouble getting her money backthe evaporative cooler was deemed effective based on hearsay
