       thinking about selfhosting again some fedi instance. what are your non mastodon recommendations? misskey per se sucks ass, but sane, proper forks i might consider. is still akkoma the de facto fork go-to for pleroma?would be nice if it had some eye-candy but had proper sane mobile clients that dont suck insane battery

       @kogomi misskey sanei wouldn't call it thatThere is GoToSocial that is meant to be for small/single user instances but iirc still lacks some features like ...iirc polls? someone should correct me on that.There is also iceshrimp.net which is also still in development, may see a bug here and there and last time i checked the UI wasn't completely finished. It supports masto api for apps and has the option to also run with akkoma-fe. It's a complete rewrite from scratch of Iceshrimp(.js) which is the misskey fork i run on snug (and once it seems fit i want to migrate to .net)akkoma is also a good enough choice (pleroma fork, if you have been out of the scene)There is also funny stuff I don't know of myself like snac but someone else may come yap abt that
