       @MummaBearWe have 85, 87, and 91 here in Denver. The elevation makes higher octane less necessary. Harder to get predetonation (knock) with less air available. @scottdhansen

       @MummaBear @chanon There are some cars that require the 93 octane for performance reasons.  My turbo boxer engine (FA24 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine) in the subaru doesn't.  It burns 87 just fine.

       @scottdhansenI had a friend who accidentally put 85 in a high compression car that needed premium and it was running terribly. We found a station that sold 105 for race cars and topped his tank off with that. It was expensive, but it fixed it. @MummaBear
